Lona Idoko : I’m still in governorship race, says Kogi APGA candidate

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the November 11 Kogi governorship election, Mr Idoko Ilona has debunked the widespread information going round that he has step-down for another governorship candidate.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the governorship candidate, Ilona described the rumour as false and unfounded claiming, saying he has never he step down or thrown his weight behind any candidate.
The APGA flag-bearer, Ilona said that he is the most qualify candidate in the race with the right capacity to deliver Kogi from its present predicaments.
In his words, ‘I will not endorse any candidate, I will not step down unless I see a candidate better than myself, he said.
Long further said he is in the race to win and to build a state that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
The governorship candidate of APGA is a business tycoon with outstanding Record, he added that he had consulted the people and the elders of the state and and they have confidence in his capacity.
He said that he is not desperate to be Governor but he is desperate for good leadership in Kogi and that he wants the best for the people.
“He said those peddling the rumour of stepping down are enemies of progress,” I assure you all that I will run this race to the end and emerge the next governor of Kogi.
