As part of The line up activities for The one year anniversary of The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maikarfi IV on Tuesday, donated drugs and medical consumables to three health centres, Anwar Yashi, Ungwar Kura and Kabawa in Lokoja local government area.

Presenting the items at one of the health Centres In Anwar Yashi, His Royal Highness, Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir said the gesture was part of His decision to continue to assist the people in his domain and to equally improve maternal and child survival in the community.

According to him, “With this intervention, pregnant women and children in the community would be able to access primary healthcare services close to their homes.

His Royal Highness also revealed that the world bank has agreed to upgrade the health centres to a more befitting standard.

In her response, the head of Angwar Yashi health centre unit, Amina Usman thanked Maigari of Lokoja for the gesture, promise to ensure adequate distribution of the items as instructed.

The donation of drugs and consumables will continue tomorrow, Tuesday 7th January, 2025, as His Royal Highness will continue the visit to Federal University Teaching Hospital and Specialist Hospital, Lokoja.
