Maigari Of Lokoja Honour Hon. Adams Bakasso ‘Quincy’ with traditional title, As Family Members, Friends and Associates Pays Thank You Visit To Palace

The new Ardo Birnin Of Lokoja, Hon. Adams Bakasso ‘ Quincy’, friends and family members have paid a ‘thank you’ visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, the maigari Of Lokoja for recognising him with Chieftaincy title conferment.
Hon. Adams Quincy was honoured with the traditional title of Ardo Birnin of Lokoja, which means the Leader of city Fulani in Lokoja’
Speaking during the visit on Saturday at the Maigari palace, Lokoja local Government Area, Kogi state. Alhaji Adams Bakasso particularly thanked the Maigari Of Lokoja for considering him for such exalted position.
He said, “ I have decided to come with my entire family members, friends and associates to sincerely extend our gratitude to Maigari Of Lokoja for the honour done to him, he therefore assured Maigari Of Lokoja of contributing his own quota to the growth and development of Lokoja Community, pledged to justify the traditional title bestowed on him by the monarch.
He also thanked all members of traditional council and the people of Lokoja Local Government Area for the support and cooperation given to him so far.
In his remarks, HRH, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir welcome the new Ardo Birnin of Lokoja and family members to his palace, thanking them for the visit, he however reminded the gathering on the immense contributions of Hon. Adams Quincy to his ascension on throne as Maigari Of Lokoja .
According to him, “My decision to give Hon. Adams Quincy the title of Ardo Birnin of Lokoja was because of the major role he played in me becoming the Maigari of Lokoja, according to him, Hon. Quincy openly has demonstrated that he is a true son of Lokoja”, he stressed.
Maigari of Lokoja added, “Quincy has been a reliable person and good brother, he has shown sufficient commitment towards the overall growth and development of Lokoja local Government Area.Therefore, he deserves to be given traditional title”, he said.
He therefore commended the new ARDO BIRNI for his empowerment programmes, leadership quality and efforts in advancing the interest of Lokoja community,
“You are by this appointment a member of Lokoja Traditional Title Holder and henceforth, his traditional and official greetings shall be “ALLAH SAI NI”,
“The conferment on Alhaji Ahmed Bakasso is the first Ardo Birni of the ancient town of Lokoja”,
Those who attended the event includes the secretary of Kogi state Electricity Regulatory Commission and Shettima of Lokoja, Alhaji Mabo Kassim, Alhaji Sagir Bakasso ‘Ganabode’ and other Chieftaincy title holders, among others.
