Maigari Of Lokoja Set to Celebrate 1st Anniversary As Traditional Title Holders Hold Interactive Session With Media

In commemoration of the first one year anniversary of the Maigari Of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maikarfi 1V, the traditional title holders held an interactive session with the media to unveil the line up activities of the anniversary of the highly revered monarch.
To mark this significant milestone, the Mayaki of Lokoja, Alhaji Aliyu Jiya Lawal spoke to newsmen on Sunday in Lokoja, alongside other chieftaincy title holders, Dama of Lokoja, Alhaji Baba Suleman and Alhaji Haruna Bala, Santali of Lokoja.
The Spokeperson, Alhaji Ali Lawal Said Maigari of Lokoja planned a 6-day event from Monday to Wednesday, filled with a series of programs to make the anniversary truly memorable.
According to him, “We have decided to make the event low-key, and the Maigari will be visiting three major health centres within Lokoja town while on Tuesday, Maigari of Lokoja will proceed to Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lokoja to present gifts to patients”,
He noted that since installation of Maigari of Lokoja, the people have witnessed tremendous achievements.
According to him, the era of Maigari of Lokoja has brought about peace, unity, progress, and development, adding that the town has observed harmonious relationships between various religious faiths and diverse ethnic groups that reside in the state capital.
He equally revealed that a news conference would be held on Wednesday this week to clarify some issues bordering on the peace and unity of the ancient city.
Lawal also explained that there will be a special Juma’at prayer on Friday and a Christian church service on Sunday for the Maigari of Lokoja and the ancient city for continued blessings and protection.
