MD Graphic, YJ Itopa Emerges Kogi ANA Chairman, pledges inclusivity, transparency

The Managing Director/CEO of kogi state Printing and publishing corporation, ‘The Graphics Newspaper’, YJ Itopa has been elected as the new chairman of the Association of Nigeria Authors, ANA, Kogi state Chapter.
The chairmanship election was between Dr. Abah A Abah of the Federal University, Lokoja who lost with 8 votes and the Managing Director of Graphics Newspaper, YJ Itopa won with 12 votes.
At the just concluded election on Friday which took place at the NUJ Press centre, Lokoja, Mr. Itopa, in his acceptance speech , shortly after the swearing in ceremony, pledged unwavering commitment to the upliftment of ANA, Kogi State Chapter
according to him, “I assure you that I will work tirelessly to uphold the values and principles of ANA,
“Together we will strive to learn, evolve, advocate and develop ourselves so as to promote reading culture and good writings within our upcoming younger generation “
Expressing his appreciation to fellow candidate and members, he said:”I pledge to be accessible, transparent and inclusive in my leadership. “Your input and feedback will be invaluable as we navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Other unopposed positions contested for include: publicity secretary and others, the kogi state correspondent of Vanguard Newspaper, Mr. Boluwaji Obahopo became the Publicity Secretary, Ali Yakuby as Ex-Officio ll, and many other positions.
