New State Coordinator, NECO Pays Familiarization Visit To Kogi NUJ Chairman

The New State Coordinator of National Examination Council, NECO, Kogi state, Mr. Thaddeus Ajabu has paid a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Kogi State Council.
The state Coordinator thanked Chairman of the NUJ Comrade Sheidu Ademu for the warm reception accorded him.
He stated that he was in the NUJ state Secretariat to inform him of a change in the leadership of NECO in Kogi state and to explore further areas of collaboration with the media.
He further expressed gratitude to the media practitioners in Kogi state for the cooperation giving NECO so far, saying that the same gesture which existed between his predecessors should also be extended to him.
He thanked the Chairman for giving him an audience despite the short notice prior to the visit, calling on the media to continue to collaborate with NECO.
The State Coordinator called on politicians and those in leadership in Kogi state to sponsor ‘Special’ students examination organised by NECO to qualify more students for scholarship awards.
In his response, the Chairman of NUJ, Kogi state Council, Comrade Sheidu Ademu welcomed the delegation and assured the new State Coordinator of collaboration and partnership, saying that the media will continue to give adequate media support to NECO.
The chairman appreciated the personal commitment of the new state coordinator to the advancement of education and commended him for his idea of selecting the best of best students through scholarship awards examination, “I am confident that under your leadership and able guidance, NECO in Kogi State will reach new heights, he said.
