NIWA Staff, Yahaya Balarabe Usman Organises Muslim prayers for Retirement, Focuses on Seeking Allah’s Blessings for a Peaceful, Fruitful New phase

The staff of National Inland Waterway Authority , NIWA headquarters in Lokoja, Yahaya Balarabe Usman aka ‘Bakeke’ has organized an Islamic prayers for his successful retirement focusing on seeking Allah’s blessings for a peaceful, fruitful new phase, asking for good health, provision, forgiveness, and guidance for a successful life in this world and the Hereafter.
Balarabe expressed gratitude for past work, seeking ease in future endeavors protection from hardship, and continued connection to faith.
This colourful event took place in karaworo street , Lokoja when the Islamic scholars cutting across the mosques in the state headquarters gathered today, Thursday 15th January, 2026 to offer a special prayers for Balarabe praying; “O Allah! Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good (Hasanah), and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.” (Dua al-Hasanah), Asking for forgiveness for past shortcomings and acceptance of worship.
They all Prayed for a restful mind, a useful soul, a peaceful home, and a successful end to life’s efforts seeking blessings for continued good health, abundant joy, and lasting well-being.
The scholars also prayed for his late father and beloved mother who are resting with Almighty Allah.
According to them, “O Allah, grant us provision from places we do not expect, and bless us with continued bounty, all-encompassing mercy, abundant livelihood, and lasting well-being.”.
” Recitation; Asking Allah to make life’s journey easy, guide towards righteousness, and protect in all circumstances”, “Rabbana atina fid dunya hasanah wa fil akhirati hasanah waqina ‘adzabannar.”
Among those dignitaries present at the colourful ceremony are; the state secretary of Social Democratic Party, SDP, Kogi state and former chairmanship candidate of the party, Idris Sonfada, staff of NIWA headquarters and journalists in the state, among other personalities.
