By Abubakar S.H
The Senatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in the last senatorial election in kogi west, Hon. Mohammed Abubakar-Ola, aka Bukky has said there’s no iota of truth in a report that claimed that he requested personal money from Sen. Sunday Karimi after withdrawal from court.
He said, it was Sen. Sunday Karimi, who promised and agreed to settle the bills of his lawyers after some Stakeholders intervened .
In a press conference organized today, Sunday at Lokoja, Hon. Abubakar-Ola said Karimi denied that he never promised to settle the bills of his lawyers but said he should remember that those leaders from Kogi west who prevailed on him to withdraw his court case were witnesses to the agreement.
” It is noteworthy that the response made recently by Sunday Karimi while addressing my people in lokoja are false and ridiculously fabricated lies”, A sitting Senator could not even stands on truth, this are the promises he made in the presence of three major leaders in his senatorial district but it’s surprising that he is now denying,”.
“ I , therefore, wish to enjoin the entire people of Lokoja and kogi west to disbelief the outright denial of Sen. Karimi as yet it’s another incident of hallucination by this character”,he stressed.
Hon. Abubakar-Ola however challenged the Senator to create an avenue where he will repeat same false statement before the leaders who intervened and pleaded with him to withdraw his tribunal court case, which they asked him to do in the interest of unity of kogi west.
” Senator Karimi should be thinking of how to provide palliative to his constituents instead of telling lies to his party stakeholders,”.
” It’s a deliberate attempt to blackmail me, Our people should dismiss the recent statement made against my person by Sen. Karimi , it’s regarded as another cheap blackmail”,he said.
