Ohimegye-Igu Of Koton-karfe, HRM, Saidu Akawu Salihu Turbans 25 Subjects, Urges Them To Be Good Ambassadors

The Ohimegye Igu of Koton-Karfe and Chairman, Lokoja/Kogi Local Government Areas Traditional Council, Alhaji (Dr.) Saidu Akawu Salihu, has turbaned twenty five indigenes of the Emirate, charging them to be good ambassadors wherever they are.
The monarch who stated this at his palace in Koton-Karfe during the turbaning of the new title holders on Friday said that the recipients were conferred with various traditional titles based on merit and on their eminent contributions to the Kingdom and the state in particular.
He pointed out that everybody is aware of the contributions made by all the newly turbaned traditional title holders.
He then urged them to continue with their work that earned them these biggest traditional titles in his kingdom.
He prayed Allah to bless the titles given to them also to give them strength and wisdom to do more, calling on others to emulate them.
Responding on behalf of other newly turbaned traditional title holders,
Yahaya Shuiabu Tatu, who was conferred with the title of OGAZA OGBANI of Igu Kingdom thanked the Ohimegye-Igu for the honour done to them and promised that they would do more.
Dignitaries at the well attended ceremony include; His Royal Highness, The Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi IV, the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Aliyu, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr, Abubakar Bashir Gegu, top government officials, politicians and traditional rulers within and outside Igu Kingdom.
