Ohimegye-Igu Of Koton-karfe Obeys Kogi State Govt. Directives Banning Procession

HRM Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu The Ohimegye of Igu Koton Karfi Kingdom has welcome the directives by the state government baning all traditional processions in Koton Karfi and it’s environs.
The Ohimegye in obeying the directives cancelled the tour of the 8 ruling houses and visit to Ohetenye grave site at Girinya earlier scheduled for today 18th June, 2024 and tomorrow 19th June, 2024.
This directive is to sustain the existing peace and brotherly existence been enjoined by the people and inhabitants of the area.
HRM regrets the inconveniences the cancellation might cause the people of the kingdom saying that it was done in the best interest of all.
The royal father enjoined all and sundary to continue to live in peace and harmony adding that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
He thanked various security agencies for their roles in curbing the situation.
