Over 3,000 Women dumps PDP for APC In Ajaokuta Ahead of 2023 Election.

As the 2023 general elections draw nearer, coupled with current political permutations across kogi state and Nigeria , about 3,000 women in the fold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ajaokuta local government area of kogi state on Sunday defected to the ruling, All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Hajiya Halimat Abdullahi , the woman leader, said it has become crystal clear that the PDP is not the kind of any serious opposition party that is ready to wrestle power from the hands of the rulling APC, former PDP woman Leader said.
The defectors, who were mainly from the local government area of the state, noted that their defection was borne out of love for the APC candidate for House of Representatives, Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem in Ajaokuta because of his generosity and kind disposition to people, he also focus on inclusiveness of women, citing the examples of several women he helped,woman leader said.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, the woman Leader, Hajiya Halima Abdullahi declared that the leadership quality of Sanni Abdulraheem’s superlative and inspiring priority attention to empowerment of women motivated them into joining the party, APC.
She added that there are various women empowerment programmes which Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello had implemented in the last seven years as well as the appointment of women into strategic public offices.
The woman Leader, however, pledged their continued support for the administration of Governor Bello , assuring him that all women in Ajaokuta will massively vote for APC in the coming election.
Presenting the APC flag to the woman leader some of her members, now full members of APC at the event, the Chairman of Ajaokuta Steel Township APC forum, Engr. Alimi expressed delight, on behalf of the leaders of APC in Ajaokuta LGA, adding that the woman leader and her great women has made the best decision, owing to the fact that the APC is the only credible party that can be trusted and relied on for greater development.
