PAAU Matriculates 7612 Students For 2022/2023 Academic Session

… As Vice Chancellor Cautioned Against Vices Inimical To Decent Learning.
The Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba has matriculated 7612 students into eight faculties of the institution for the 2022/2023 academic session.
In her address at the Matriculation ceremony held at the Old Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Marietu Ohunene Tenuche lauded the goal getting superintendence role of Gov. Yahaya Bello on the Institution, pointing out that his efforts has remained the reason behind the continued growth and development of the Institution.
The Vice Chancellor praised Gov Bello for providing the holistic conducive environment for teaching, learning, research and for positively engaging extracurricular activities like sports, coupled with provision for security of lives and properties.
Prof. Tenuche said through astute management, pursuit of the new direction agenda of the Gov. Bello’s administration, the University has maintained an unbroken academic calendar, expressed deep appreciation to the Governor for placing the University as a priority in his administration.
The Vice Chancellor cautioned the new students against acts inimical to ensuring a decent learning environment amongst students, warned against cultism, rape, extortion of money from students using class representatives.
The Vice Chancellor added that the University will also not condone indecent dressing, unwholesome celebration upon graduation, maintained that it is unacceptable to the institution, maintained that the PAAU has zero tolerance for such vices, urged the new students to be vanguard for the elimination of the mentioned vices on campus.
The Vice Chancellor called on Parents to provide the moral and Financial support needed for the students to succeed, urged them not to take an eye off them in their quest to acquire education that will make them future leaders.
The Vice Chancellor disclosed that a platform that would allow the PAAU forward results directly to parents has been created, said it will enable them monitor the academic performance of their Wards, advised Parents to pay their children’s school fees as and when due.
While pointing out that the University has provided the responsible conducive environment for learning, thanked Gov. Bello for engaging the services of combined team of the Army, Police, NSCDC, working with the University security operatives to provide the much needed security.
The Vice Chancellor added that the infrastructure facilities to propel great heights so that the students can compete globally with their peers has been put in place, said the University’s library is equipped with books and resources adequate in titles, volume and currency.
She equally added that the PAAU has renovated hostels and other facilities on campus, disclosed that her administration with the support of Gov Yahaya Bello’s support will not relent in her efforts in the improvement of accommodation and incidental utilities for the students.
The Vice Chancellor disclosed that all courses of study in the PAAU has attained full accreditation of the National Universities Commission and those of quite a number Professional Bodies like the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists, Nigerian Institute of Animal Science, Council of Legal Education amongst several others, expressed appreciation to Gov. Bello for making the PAAU a positive reference in the country.
Highlights of the 2022/2023 Matriculation ceremony was the administration of oath and the admitting of the matriculating students Into the membership of the University.
