President, Yar’Adua’s Brother Wins Katsina Central Senatorial Seat
The last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly Election conducted in Katsina state showed that the younger brother of the late former president, Umar Yar’dua, who contested for senatorial seat, Abdulaziz Yar’Adua of the All Progressives Congress is declared as the winner of the Katsina Central senatorial election.
Abdulaziz Yar’adua is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Nigerian Army.
The Returning Officer for the Katsina Central Senatorial district election, Prof. Aminu Dalhatu-Kankia, declared Yar’adua after the collation of the results on Sunday.
According to him, Yar’adua of the APC scored 153,512 votes against Aminu Sirajo of the PDP, who scored 152,140 votes.
