Reckless Driving/Accident: Zango community cries Out, Kogi Govt Should Build Speed Breaker ‘bumps’ On The Ongoing dualized Roads

The residents of Zango community in kogi state have applauded kogi state Government on the ongoing construction of the dualized express road along Zango-Army barracks road ,also calling on the government to build speed breakers, otherwise known as “bumps“, on the roads, so as to avert regular accident.
A community leader, Mr Jimoh Salami who spoke to Nigerian Trend online newspaper during a fatal accident that claimed two lives, and others hospitalised on Sunday afternoon, commended Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo for embarking on the dualization of Zango road but plead to the state government to assist the community by constructing speed breakers so as avoid regular accident on the road.
According to Salami, the government should come to the aid of residents in the community by constructing official speed breaker(Bumps) at various locations inorder to stop the frequent accidents that usually occurred on daily basis on the newly constructed road.
” We however commended the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the infrastructural achievements provided within the short period in office, especially the ongoing construction of Zango-Army barracks-CBN-Assembly roads, We sincerely appreciate his efforts in fulfilling his electioneering promises, he stressed.
According to him, The community has warned residents not to construct or build any bumps, “we do not intend to construct illegal bumps around our localities, instead calling on the kogi state government to direct the commissioner for works to officially construct the speed breaker along the new roads”.
