Sen. Simon Mwadkwon From Plateau North Becomes Minority Leader As Ex-gov. Tambuwal loses out

Senator representing Plateau North,
Simon Mwadkwon has defeated former Governor Aminu Tambuwal, senator representing Sokoto south, to become minority leader of the upper legislative chamber.
The Senate President of the upper legislative chamber, Godswill Akpabio
announced that Senator Simon Mwadkwon has been elected as the minority leader
“The minority political parties/members of the senate is made up of about seven political parties and have come up with their leadership, so I agreed with their choice”, Akpabio said.
Those elected are, “Senator Simon Mwadkwon, minority leader; Oyewumi Olalere, deputy minority leader; senator Darlington Nwokocha, minority whip; and senator Rufai Anga, deputy minority whip.”
