The chairman of Lokoja-Kogi All Progressive’s Congress Stakeholders Forum, Alhaji Suleman Baba Ali at a town hall meeting has congratulated the Governor-Elect, Alhaji Usman Ododo following his overwhelming victory at the last Governorship election conducted in kogi state.
The chairman who summoned an emergency meeting at his GRA residence in Lokoja on Sunday, thanked the APC stakeholders and supporters in Lokoja-Kogi local government areas for their massive support during the just concluded Governorship election in the state, noting that he appreciated them for their commitment and dedication to the cause, as well as for their sacrifice.
He commended the people of kogi state for their steadfastness, saying that the decision taken was for for collective interest of the majority of the people of the state.
“We thank the national and state leadership and the generality of the members of APC especially the Executive Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello”.
Alhaji Ali expressed appreciation to the people of the Lokoja-Kogi for massively voting for the governorship candidate of APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo in the November 11, 2023 governorship poll.
According to the him, the resounding victory has strengthened the social contract between the All Progressives Congress and the Lokoja-Kogi (kk) people.
In his own remarks, the Rt. Honourable Speaker of the kogi state House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf Aliyu said he salute the party loyalists in the state, especially in Lokoja-Kogi (kk),
“ To our people, we thank you for turning out in your thousands to concretise the dominance of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State. The massive turnout is no surprise at all”, We are eternally grateful to you all, he stressed.
“Your turnout and massive support for the All Progressives Congress showed your faith in a united and prosperous state where leaders are elected based on competence rather than ethnic bigotry. Your voices are clear and loud.
“ We thank our leader, Alhaji Suleman Baba Ali for the leadership role he played throughout the election, We also thank the leadership of the party for rallying behind us to retain one of the most important states in Nigeria in the progressive fold. The Governor-Elect, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo will not disappoint you all. Governor Yahaya Bello has made it easy for the All Progressives Congress to continue to win elections in Kogi with his heroics in all the sectors of the economy.
On his part, the Co-Chairman of Lokoja-Kogi federal constituency, Hon. Salihu Akawu aka SAS commended all party faithful for the resounding victory, according to him, We are one people and we must remain united as a people. The results of the election has shown that it is our party alone that believes in the unity of our dear state. We won the election and also the battle against those who wanted to drag our state to the dark ages of ethnic division.
He said the victory of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is for all and it will herald fresh air of consolidation and continuity,” Akawu posited
