Turbaning Ceremony Of The Newly Appointed, HRM, Maigari of Lokoja. Public Announcement

This is to inform the General Public (Mutanen Lakwaja) that the Turbaning Ceremony of HRH Ibrahim Kabir Maikarfi, as the Maigari of Lokoja, will hold on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at Maigari’s Palace, Lokoja

Consequently, we are all enjoined to receive the Maigari with his entourage from Abuja at Murtala Mohammed Bridge, Jamata Lokoja by 10am. This will afford us the opportunity of according the new Maigari of Lokoja a thunderous traditional welcome to our ancient town. Horse Riders are advised to wait at Nataco Junction, Lokoja to avoid traffic congestion along the highway.
