Youth and Sports Commissioner Reaffirmed Ministry Willingness To Collaborate With Media In Kogi
- Pledges Unalloyed Support For Kogi NUJ

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in kogi state, Monday Anyebe said kogi state Government is more than ready to continue to empower and promote youths in the state.
The Commissioner made this known when he led a delegation from the ministry of Youth and Sports to the state secretariat of Nigeria Uñion of Journalists, NUJ, Kogi State Council on wednesday.
The Honourable commissioner noted that the ministry of Youth and Sports is more than ready to work closely with all members of journalists in the state, saying they will collaborate with the union.
The commissioner praised NUJ role in promoting the activities of the state government and also the ministry of Youth and Sports.
He therefore commended his principal, Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo for bringing on board over 85 percent youth into his cabinet, ” several youths were given appointments in various capacity in his administration “, he stressed.
He reaffirmed the ministry’s willingness to collaborate with journalists in the States, according to him, “we are ready to work together on patriotic calls aimed at promoting the development of our youth.”
Mr. Anyebe, who was accompanied by his Permanent Secretary and Director of Sports Development expressed joy over the impressive roles played by NUJ in the growth and development of kogi state, adding that kogi state Government is more than ready to continue to empower and promote youths in the state.
In his response, the NUJ Chairman, Kogi State council, Comrade Shiedu Ademu thanked the commissioner for his visit to the secretariat and for his continued support, especially the cordial relationship that exists between the media and the ministry.
The chairman pledged media support to the activities of the ministry, saying that the commissioner is a media friendly personality and has made his job easier by being quite an effective leader.
“The chairman applauded Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo for his laudable programmes, saying he has embarked on so many projects and has also commended him for regular payment of salaries as at when due, both at the state and local government levels.
